Chalet Quietude

The chalet-styled cabin is comfortable and cozy, newly renovated and decorated. Plenty of windows to view the natural beauty of the surrounding forest. A wood burning fireplace sits proudly in the living area ready to create the beauty and warmth for your winter vacation with us.

The furnishings were all chosen to provide the utmost in comfort and relaxation. The euro-style pillow-top mattresses are luxurious and the bed linens are high quality and white for cleanliness. Pillow protectors cover the goose down pillows which are hypo-allergenic. We do have a couple of extra non-feather pillows just in case.

We have chosen the loft as the master bedroom where the luxurious king size bed sits posed to greet the day either way you look. For convenience, a half bath occupies the loft.  The downstairs bedroom boasts a comfy queen size bed and plenty of forest view from the double windows.

The galley-style kitchen is arranged for family cooking, conversation and eating with the dining counter built around the cooking range. All the conveniences of home are here from garlic press and wine opener to wooden salad bowel, baking dishes and stainless steel cookware; all for you to make your favorite home-style meal or your finest in gourmet cooking.

A 32 inch flat panel TV is in the living room situated for the perfect view. Satellite TV is located in not only the living room, but two of the bedrooms. We have a DVD player for your own or locally rented movies located in the living room. Flat panel TV’s are also featured in the loft bedroom and the downstairs bedroom. The bedroom/office has no TV.

Speaking of the bedroom/office, you will find it is not only outfitted with a day bed  and pop-up trundle, but it also has a small desk and high speed satellite internet so you can keep in touch with your office and/or friends if you must. Please bring your laptop and any other tools to make your working vacation the best experience.

The front deck is large and furnished with a dining table and six chairs. In the distance, you’ll see a beautiful mountain range… just the way we like it here in North Carolina.

Outside the hot tub is positioned at a point where the view can be enjoyed while soaking and it is backed by beautiful flowering mountain laurel.  Enjoy the five person tub with complete confidence in our sanitation practices.  Our tub is routinely cleaned after each rental and sanitized.  The hot tub is covered with an easy to remove and replace cover; in fact, one person can do it easily.  This makes it easy to enjoy your soak.

It is important that you read the policies and procedures. They are in place to insure the cabin remains immaculate for you and future guests.  In general, most guests are very respectful of our property. Because of a few, we must strictly enforce our policies. We ask that you please print and keep a copy of the policies and procedures as you, the guest, are responsible for knowing and following these rules. Your reservation and payment indicates agreement.  Please remember, this property is located in a private, residential community.
