Dear Guests,
This cottage has gone through
major changes. It was not my intention at the beginning to
make such changes. As each wall was upgraded, torn down
and replaced, it called for other upgrades and so-on and so-on.
I am fascinated with it's charm and hope you are as well.
Please leave your thoughts for me.

May
we be the first of many guests! Our stay at the 'Charmed
Cottage' was a very pleasurable one. We enjoyed the hot
tub in the evenings as well as the wonderful views from that
part of the property. We really appreciated all the
attention to details which made our stay all the more
comfortable and enjoyable. We really hope to return
sometime in the future and wish you all the luck with the
'Charmed Cottage'.

Hi
Brea,
I'll get a CD of photos in the mail to you right away. My friend
Dan took a great picture of the cottage from the driveway that I
think you will like. After staying in the cottage I know
this rental will be successful. You really have thought of
everything! Here is a review for your website (if you want to
use it): Thank you for creating such a beautiful and
comfortable vacation escape! We had all the comforts of home
(plus some). The bath facilities were luxurious. We slept on
soft silky sheets, cooked in a thoughtfully supplied gourmet
kitchen, were entertained indoors by satellite TV and a cool
iPod dock on the stereo and endlessly entertained outdoors in
the bubbly, spacious hot tub with an incredible view of the
mountains! We really didn't want to leave!

Brea,
We had a wonderful stay in charmed cottage,
and I highly recommend it for anyone who
wants to get away from the city. I took
advantage of the vases and collected flowers
from around the cottage to make 2 beautiful
arrangements. The history of the cottage was
fascinating and I photographed as much of
the area as I could. I hope that we can go
back someday, or maybe try your Chalet
Quietude next trip. Thanks for being such a
great cottage owner. We really appreciated
the work you put into the décor & details,
like the robes & linens. It was a very
memorable trip and a big part of that was
the cottage. Thanks again, and I hope you
enjoy the pictures. I had so much fun
photographing nature in & around the
cottage. I’ll have to send these [photos] in
batches. BUTTERFLIES – The hill behind the
cottage was butterfly heaven. At one point,
I counted 7 butterflies on a single plant. A
few came inside to rest on the windows in
the sun. A moon moth decided to camp out on
the kitchen window. HUMMINGBIRDS – We filled
the feeder that first morning, but didn’t
see any. One late afternoon, while we were
making dinner, a hummingbird decided to come
into the cottage. It took us 5 minutes to
get him out because he was attracted to the
sky lights over the dining room table. He
was too fast to photograph. BIRDS – I spent
30 minutes trying to capture a bird that was
foraging on the forest floor. I could hear
him, but not see him. I finally caught a
glimpse and photograph of him resting in the
tree. He is orange, black, and white. I
didn’t hear him sing. BEES – The hydrangea
bush next to the hot tub was in full bloom,
and the bees loved it. I sat on the hot tub
deck, and managed to get some close-up
photos of the flowers and bees. SQUIRREL –
As I made morning coffee, this little guy
was perched on a fallen tree limb. I managed
to photograph him from the kitchen window.
We fed him some fruit later in the day and
he came out again.
Thanks,

Our
stay at the Charmed Cottage was a welcome and much needed
retreat. The Cottage was beautifully appointed and perfect for a
quiet weekend getaway. The drive up to the Cottage was a little
concerning, but once we arrived, all concerns went away. The
drive there was worth it. It took about 30 min to get to
downtown Asheville where we dined out nightly. The hot tub was
relaxing and we spent plenty of time enjoying the view and
watching stars. We were told we wouldn't want to leave and we
didn't want to. We had to leave, but we will be back!
